Watercolor paper used for paintings are acid free. They are of various brands, such as local Pune (India) made, Aches Winsor & Newton. They are of various types and texture, such as cold/hot pressed, rough/smooth/matte finish etc.

Please note that the color production on digital screens may not be accurate. Actual colors of the painting may be a bit different.

About the painting size

All the sizes/dimensions mentioned on the site are approximate.

Size of a painting, wherever mentioned, is a dimensions of painted area in "Height x Width" format and measured in inch (indicated with "). Usually there is approximately 3/4" to 1" paper left unpainted around as a border for mounting purpose. If there is no such border left then a few millimeter of the painted area on all sides may get covered while framing it.

For example, a painting size 16"x22" means the printed area height is 16" and width is 22". Actual paper size would be roughly 18" inch by 24" inch.

About framing

Typically framed painting consists of a painting (paper), a mount board, glass and frame. Here is an example of 16"x22" framed paining showing various layers and measurements.

Painted area is surrounded by 3" white/off-white mount on all the sides and then mount is surrounded 1" frame on all the sides.

So, painting with painted area of 16"x22" will finally become 24"x30" framed painting.

Total height: 1"+3"+16"+3"+1" = 24"

Total width:  1"+3"+22"+3"+1" = 30"
